Garden Fence

garden gate

Simple Story:

I wanted a garden and wanted a fence around it. Just pounding up boards would not do for me so I came up the the idea you see above (more photos below). It's been there a few years now and has aged nicely, I still really like it. Gate has "warped" a little, but still works pretty good. Some day I may have to make a new one but maybe it's best with the "character" that comes with age.

It was not really a touch project other than the fancy gates. Lots of yours as there are lots of boards to make and adhere. And, although random height is the idea, random does not happen without thought. Strength and durability were both considered and so far were achieved. It's hard to tell from the photos, but the front is "waist" high while the sides and back are "chest high". Variation is nice, same old, same old, I don't like. The back and side are accessed by horses so I wanted those higher and again, the variation is pleasant to me.
