Cityscape Sculpture
This little project was not a project. I was making a shelf for my wife as a Christmas present. The back of that shelf is composed of a panel made up of various scrap pieces of different wood types I had left over from other projects. After I had glued up all those pieces for the back I trimmed the edges to the proper dimensions for the shelf. The cut off pieces fell aside in various configurations. Some little pieces and a few pieces of varying amounts of glued together pieces. I set them all up on my workbench but as I looked at them a small light bulb went off. They looked a bit like a city silhouette. I started thinking about that and thought they would be nice as a pieces of sculpture. So I applied a clear finish to these leftovers, glued them to a base I made and there you have it: a pieces of sculpture. I gave this to my son as a Christmas present.
